Childcare Professional

Georgia Fitness childcare employees play and important role in the gym. It is the responsibility of the childcare employee to ensure a safe and fun environment for our member’s children while they are working out in our facility. Childcare employees engage and interact with our members on a daily basis, and are in a unique position to speak about different programs and changes occurring within Georgia Fitness and communicate that to our members.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/responsibilities

  • Maintaining a safe, fun, and clean environment for the children at all times
  • Being vigilant and making sure that all children are constantly being supervised
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the childcare facility, as well as assist with the cleaning of the cardio equipment in the gym when asked and needed
  • A team player attitude and flexibility is expected
  • Ensuring that any and all incidents involving a child are properly documented and reported to the appropriate people

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Standing for periods of more than two hours at a time
  • Stooping, some lifting, repetitive folding movements, and sweeping/mopping
  • Carrying containers of up to 25 pounds for distances under 100 yards
  • Ability to pick up and hold a child
 

Front Desk/Sales & Service Professional

You never get a second chance at a first impression.

As a front desk/sales professional at Georgia Fitness, you are the first person any member or prospective member will see upon entering our facility. You are essentially the faces of the company, and should carry yourselves as such. Smiling and enthusiastic greeting of each person who enters the facility, and upon departure is important in emphasizing the feel of this fitness facility and it is something that members will remember. What is unique about our front desk personnel is that they also make up the majority of the Georgia Fitness sales team. This is perhaps the most imperative function of the front desk employee besides the customer service aspect.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/responsibilities

  • Greeting members and guests warmly and genuinely
  • Ringing up merchandise and pro shop items as well as handling all transactions at the point of sale
  • Ensuring the safety of members and the basic cleanliness of the facility
  • Dealing with member issues as needed
  • Staying abreast of any changes in the facility such as program changes, pricing changes, etc.
